I've been in the beauty industry for nearly 10 years, and from the day I received my diploma I dreamed of one day owning my own business.

Early in my career I discovered a natural talent for working with eyebrows and quickly became one of the top brow specialists in South-East Queensland. Over the years I've been fortunate to meet so many incredible people through my work, but one particular client changed the course of my career forever...

She had recently undergone chemotherapy and felt very self-conscious about her thinning eyebrows. When I suggested henna brows and explained the process, her face lit up. In that moment I realised that cosmetic services weren't just about appearance, they could genuinely change how someone thinks and feels about themselves.

That experience stuck with me and inspired me to create something of my own. My first beauty business, Defined By Lauren. A space where clients could feel comfortable, supported, and confident, knowing they'd receive consistent care and quality at every appointment.

Just three months in, I was involved in an accident that nearly forced me to step away from the career I loved. The recovery was long, painful and difficult, and the scarring left behind was something I had to learn how to live with. But that experience sparked a new purpose for me, I wanted to help others like me regain confidence in their skin.

That journey led me to build 'Second Skin By Lauren'. A space dedicated to scar and stretch mark treatments. This treatment has become deeply personal to me and is something I approach with genuine care, because I know firsthand what it's like to look in the mirror and have to make peace with what looks back at you.

My mission is simple, to help every client feel confident in their own body. Because everyone deserves to love the skin they're in.
